Tesla Stops Selling FSD Starting February 14

The Full Self Driving (FSD) self-driving system is offered as an additional package at a price of RM32,000 to Tesla car buyers in Malaysia. Elon Musk today said that starting February 14, FSD will no longer be sold directly to customers. Instead, it will be offered as a subscription package for only $99 per month after that date. At the time of writing, the FSD subscription price in Malaysia has not yet been displayed on Tesla's official website.

Musk did not state why the FSD package will no longer be sold directly to customers. However, in the EU, several customers are ready to file a class action lawsuit against Tesla because FSD does not work as promised. Authorities in France have ordered Tesla to stop advertising for FSD, which was found to be non-transparent because it does not work as promised.

Since 2016, Musk has said that the Level 5 self-driving system will be offered within three years. All his predictions have failed to come true with various reasons given. So far, only Mercedes-Benz cars have received approval for the Level 3 self-driving system
