Meta is seen trying to make Threads more interesting, especially through the private message (DM) function. Most recently, Threads is reported to be testing simple games such as shooting a basketball that can be played with contacts using simple controls in DM. The main purpose of this function is clearly to increase communication between users through simple and fun casual game challenges.
Meanwhile, citing sources, Meta has confirmed that the function is still in the internal testing stage and has not been tested publicly. In addition, Meta is also testing a chat function for the Threads community as an additional step to expand user engagement through DM.
