Tim Cook Reportedly Admits Fatigue and Wants to Be Reduced in Duties

Tim Cook's era as Apple CEO is expected to end this year, with rumors about it having been heard since the end of 2025. At the age of 65, Cook has held the position of Apple CEO for 14 years, which is longer than Steve Jobs.

According to a report by The New York Times, Cook has admitted to the company's board of directors that he is tired and wants to be reduced in duties. Cook is expected to step down as CEO and move to the position of chairman of the company soon. Among the individuals expected to take over his duties is John Ternus, who currently holds the position of vice president of hardware engineering.

Under Tim Cook's management, Apple introduced successful new products Apple Watch, Apple TV+, AirPods, Apple Music and Apple Pay. But at the same time, the Vision Pro, Apple Intelligence and Apple Car projects faced various issues and some were canceled outright. The challenge for the next Apple CEO is to remain relevant in an increasingly competitive market.
