Last year, Samsung was seen to have focused a lot on the development and introduction of AI technology in many of their products. In fact, recently, Samsung Electronics CEO TM Roh said that their Galaxy AI artificial intelligence technology has been offered to 400 million Samsung products and electronic devices globally.
This includes their various smart devices, consisting of smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and others. In fact, TM Roh said that this year, Samsung wants to increase that figure to 800 million devices worldwide, making Samsung the largest supplier of AI smart devices.
The development of Galaxy AI also depends a lot on Google Gemini, which is Google's own AI assistant. It is also the most popular AI assistant used in the world so far. TM Roh also said that thanks to the massive promotion and marketing of Galaxy AI technology, awareness of the technology has now increased from 30 percent to 80 percent among Samsung users year after year.
He is also confident that in the next six months to a year, the use of AI technology in consumers' daily lives will increase even more, especially with the rapid advancements being introduced in the technology.
Meanwhile, he also said that Samsung is expected to raise prices on a variety of their products, from smart devices to home appliances due to memory supply issues that are plaguing the consumer device sector, even though the company also makes its own memory and storage components.
