For those who are familiar with the ‘cover photo’ function on Facebook, you will certainly understand what WhatsApp is trying to offer. In an upcoming update, WhatsApp will allow users to add a suitable image as a background for their respective accounts, where the concept is the same as the function on Facebook accounts.
As shown, the layout shows that the image will be placed at the top of the existing profile. This approach is in line with the design that has been used for business account profiles (WhatsApp Business) and will soon be offered for personal account use.
The image selection process is expected to become easier as it is directly integrated into the profile editing menu. Users can select images from the photo library (gallery) just like in WhatsApp Business and can then change the position or change the image at any time. The image will also continue to be displayed whether when viewing a contact’s profile or accessing personal account settings.
This feature is still in the development phase and when launched, it will allow all users to try this function regardless of the type of account used.
