Wikipedia Shares Unused Early Logo Designs

Wikipedia is quite an iconic site because before ChatGPT, it was a knowledge library that made it easy to understand complex subjects and review history when bored at university. Last week it celebrated its 25th anniversary and yesterday the Wikipedia Instagram account shared some of the site's early unused logo designs.

A total of five logo designs were shared, which looked like a centipede, a human eye, a hydra dragon, a human head profile with a Fibonacci graph and a colorful Wikipedia globe. All of these logos were created by the Wikipedia community based on input, suggestions and feedback received.

The one that caught our attention the most was the centipede logo that represents Wikipedia. The logo may seem non-commercial but is in keeping with the early era of the website that prioritized meaning over the sleeker designs of today.
