We predict that 2026 will be the year that smart glasses begin to be widely marketed worldwide. Xreal is among the first companies to offer their XR glasses with the Xreal 1S announced yesterday in conjunction with the CES 2026 event.
The Xreal 1S is an update to the Xreal One but with an improved screen with a higher resolution of 1200p, brighter to 700 nits and a wider viewing angle of 52 degrees in addition to the screen ratio now being 16:10. The panel still remains with a refresh rate of 120Hz. The audio system on the stem of the glasses is from Bose.
The most interesting feature of the Xreal 1S is that it can automatically convert 2D content to appear 3D. There is support for various media and even video games for this feature. In addition to being used as XR glasses, it can also be used as a secondary screen for those who do not have a physical screen.
When connected to a console, tablet or smartphone it can provide a viewing experience on a virtual screen up to 500 inches. A pair of Xreal 1S is sold for $499 (~RM 2033) per pair.
