Road users will soon be able to enjoy more economical travel in conjunction with the Chinese New Year. On 14 and 15 February 2026, toll rates will be discounted by 50% from the normal rate.
This facility is available for all Class 1 vehicles, while on the Penang Bridge it has also been extended to Class 2 vehicles. Almost all toll plazas nationwide are involved except for the Bangunan Sultan Iskandar Toll Plaza on the North-South Expressway (PLUS) and the Tanjung Kupang Toll Plaza on the Malaysia-Singapore Second Link Expressway (LINKEDUA).
The Malaysian Highway Authority (LLM) expects traffic on major highways to increase by this weekend, especially towards the north, south and the East Coast. This move is seen as an effort to provide convenience to the public so that their journey home from vacation or to their chosen destinations is smoother.
