AMD Says Steam Machine Will Start Production Early This Year

Today, we reported that AMD confirmed that the next Microsoft Xbox console is in development, and will be ready to be introduced around 2027. AMD, through the announcement of their CEO, Dr. Lisa Su, also announced that another console, the Steam Machine, will start production early this year.

Steam Machine is a computer game console produced by Valve that will be driven by the SteamOS operating system, and powered by AMD APUs with RDNA 3.5 graphics chips, similar to what is shown in the AMD Z2 Extreme chip that powers several mobile game consoles.

During the company's financial presentation, Dr. Lisa Su made several announcements, including projects involving Microsoft and their latest Xbox console, and most recently, regarding the Steam Machine that many gamers are waiting for.

The Steam Machine that will be launched soon is a product that people have been waiting for because it is expected to be the best way to play users' favorite computer games on the Steam platform without needing a computer, which is currently seen as very expensive to build.

Unfortunately, we still don't have many details about the Steam Machine, such as a release date and price tag. Valve has previously confirmed that it will be revealed when they're ready to show it off.
