Apple is now reported to be moving part of its Mac Mini production to the United States. The production of the Mac Mini is expected to be moved to a facility under Foxconn based in Houston.
This also shows Apple's move to increase the production of their products in the United States, at least for local use there. This is also expected to allow Apple to avoid paying tariffs imposed by the US government under the Donald Trump administration.
For your information, the Mac Mini was previously also released and manufactured in Malaysia. It is not known whether Apple's move will affect the production of the Mac Mini in Malaysia or vice versa. Recently, the demand for the Mac Mini has increased due to its use in running software to operate AI agents.
