Facebook Messenger is a messaging service that allows Facebook users to send messages to friends and also various Facebook pages for quick and easy communication.
It is widely used so much that Facebook has previously introduced the Messenger.com website and also the Facebook Messenger desktop software. Now, Meta has confirmed that both these platforms will be discontinued starting April 2026.
Through this new post, Meta said that the Messenger service can continue to be used through the Messenger chatbox menu on the Facebook website and also the Messenger mobile application which is seen as popularly used, and is the main way Facebook users use the service.
