Meta Tests Separate Vibes App – Focuses on Sharing AI-Generated Video Content

Meta has previously been testing a service called Vibes, which allows users to generate videos with artificial intelligence, and share them with others. Initially, Vibes was offered built-in through the Meta AI app. However, Meta has now confirmed that they are testing a separate Vibes app.

The introduction of a separate Vibes app will also see Meta compete with Sora, offered by OpenAI. Both allow users to generate videos using AI, and then share them with others. Meta says they have found that many users love the format and are actively sharing it with other friends. Offering a separate app is expected to encourage users to use it more.

At the moment, it is not known how many people are using the Vibes feature. For your information, it is also common for various platforms to test various different apps to see what users are interested in and what the next popular apps are on the market.

Meta is also said to be planning to offer a paid subscription for Vibes, which gives users more options in video generation. This feature is expected to be tested in the next few months.
