NVIDIA Expected to Announce New Processing Chip Technology at GTC 2026

The NVIDIA Graphics Technology Conference, also known as NVIDIA GTC, is an event where the graphics and AI technology component manufacturer introduces new technologies that will typically be utilized by data centers and many other industries such as automotive, AI, and so on.

In a recent Q&A with The Korean Economic Daily, Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, said that NVIDIA will introduce a new chip that will surprise the world. There are no details on what chip is being talked about, but there are some assumptions that have been made.

NVIDIA has shown off a prototype of the NVIDIA Vera Rubin AI processing chip at CES 2026, and Jensen is expected to show off the real capabilities of the AI superchip at GTC 2026.

Another product may be the result of a collaboration between NVIDIA and MediaTek, namely the NVIDIA N1X processing chip that uses the Arm processing chip base for great performance with a much lower consumption rate when compared to AMD and Intel offerings.

The NVIDIA N1X chip was supposed to be unveiled in mid-2020 at COMPUTEX Taipei 2025, but has been delayed until now. However, there are also reports that NVIDIA is finally ready to introduce the processor chip, which is currently being tested by computer manufacturing partners such as Lenovo.

The NVIDIA GTC 2026 event will be held at the SAP Center San Jose, California from March 15 to March 19, 2026, with the product announcement scheduled for March 16.
