The Vivo V70 series is now listed on the official website in India. Interestingly, the branding this time appears different when there is no longer a Pro model but is replaced by the Elite version. Meanwhile, the standard model is still maintained as another option offered to users.
In terms of design, there is clearly a significant change compared to the previous generation. The device now comes with a boxy shape and is no longer curved in line with current trends in the industry. However, this is not the first time vivo has used a box-shaped design because the same approach was previously introduced on the V23 model.
In addition, this series is expected to focus heavily on portrait capabilities based on the slogan 'ZEISS Portrait So Pro' used in the device's advertising campaign. It is also supported by a 50MP tri-camera system which is the mainstay including for selfie recording.
The color choices also stand out with one of them, Passion Red, which is seen as more than just a regular color. More color variants are expected to be introduced later. In terms of performance, this device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chip.
Although not the latest chip, it is at least an improvement over the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 used for the previous two generations. However, it is still not certain whether this chip will be used on all models or only certain variants.
The battery also comes with a large capacity of 6500mAh with 90W fast charging support. In addition, this device also passes the IP68 and IP69 waterproof ratings to provide better protection for daily use.
