This is to make room for Siri with enhanced features to be launched first. The development of this smarter Siri has been delayed for more than a year because it does not meet Apple's own standards. It will only be launched this year with the help of Google Gemini integration.
In Gemini, a similar feature has been launched as Personal Intelligence on Pixel and Galaxy S26 devices in the United States only so far. With Personal Intelligence, Gemini will eventually become an AI agent that can make purchases and order self-driving vehicles with just the user's voice commands.
A smarter Siri needs to be launched because it will be the backbone of several future Apple products such as smart glasses. Without it, complex voice command features cannot be done.
