ASUS NUC 16 Pro Mini With Intel Panther Lake Chip Introduced – Coming to the Malaysian Market Soon



ASUS has recently updated their small desktop computer series, namely ASUS NUC with the latest model offering known as the ASUS NUC 16 Pro Mini. As you know, the NUC computer or Next Unit of Computing is a desktop computer with the size of a small box that houses the latest processing chip from Intel.


The ASUS NUC 16 Pro Mini is powered by the latest Intel Panther Lake processing chip and for this model, comes with an option of up to an Intel Core Ultra X9 288H chip combined with an option of up to 96GB of LPDDR5x built-in memory.


In terms of plug offerings, the front side houses a USB 3.2 Type-C plug, two USB 3.2 Type-A plugs, while the back shows two Thunderbolt 4 plugs, two USB 3.2 Type-A plugs, two 2.5G LAN plugs and two HDMI 2.1 plugs.


The cooling system of this computer has also been updated with two cooling fans, three heat pipes and a cooling fin arrangement for optimal heat flow that ensures this computer can operate at its best level. Component upgrades are also easy with the Toolless Chassis 2.0 system that allows users to add new storage without the need for a screwdriver.


Running the Microsoft Windows 11 operating system, this computer also comes with ASUS AI Superbuild software, allowing users to use their own language models without the need for an internet connection and allowing the model to be trained with its own data set. The latest Intel processing chip comes with an NPU with 50 TOPS of AI processing power which also allows it to be used as an AI computer.


Measuring 144x122x41mm, the ASUS NUC 16 Pro Mini is compact enough to be stacked and used as a small AI cluster for small and medium-sized companies. ASUS Malaysia says that this computer will enter the Malaysian market this May, at a price to be determined later.
