The company's refocusing and its acquisition by SpaceX have seen many of xAI's co-founders leave the company over the past year. Last week, Ross Nordeen, another xAI co-founder, left the company, according to a Business Insider report. This makes Elon Musk the last of the 12 founders still with the company.
Before working at xAI, Nordeen worked as a technical program manager for Tesla's Autopilot system and was involved in the development of the Full Sell Driving (FSD) system training data center. No reason was given for Nordeen's departure from xAI or his next destination.
Just a few weeks ago, Musk said xAI needed to be "rebuilt because it wasn't built right from the start." Their efforts to develop artificial intelligence? (AI) Grok has faced controversy, including calling himself "Mecha Hitler" and his generative AI system creating a disrespectful image on X.
Unlike Gemini, ChatGPT or Claude, Grok is also not used by business customers for more lucrative professional purposes. However, Elon Musk is still confident that Grok is the best AI that is close to achieving AGI and has plans to build an AI data center in space in the near future.
