Google Will Start Introducing Chrome Updates Every Two Weeks

Google previously offered the Chrome web browser with updates offered almost every four weeks. This allowed them to offer various improvements in terms of security, as well as new features quickly.

However, with the development of current technology, Google wants to further accelerate the introduction of Chrome versions, and stated that it will switch to a new development schedule every two weeks. With this step, it will focus on stability, speed and ease of use of the web browser.

This may also show Google's steps in integrating Gemini support more thoroughly, while competing with various other artificial intelligence-based web browser providers.

Google said this new launch schedule will take effect starting with Chrome 153 which is scheduled for early September 2026.
