Honor introduced the Magic V6 at MWC 2026 yesterday with two main advantages. First, it comes with a body as thin as 8.75mm when folded. Second, it is equipped with a 6660mAh battery that almost reaches 7000mAh, making it the first flagship foldable phone with that capacity.
The question is, how did Honor achieve this level? The answer lies in a new technology known as Blade Battery which was also introduced with the Magic V6. The phone itself is equipped with a 6,660mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is the largest capacity ever used in a foldable phone. However, the real greatness of the 'Blade Battery' is its ability to increase the silicon content by up to 32%, thus becoming a solution for future foldable phones with batteries exceeding 7,000mAh.
It is understood that this new generation cell is capable of achieving an energy density of over 900 Wh/L. The name Blade is not just a gimmick because this battery is truly designed as thin as a playing card. Meanwhile, Magic V6 uses the fifth generation silicon-carbon material as a result of collaboration with ATL with a silicon content of 25%.
