After announcing its space data center platform and Level 4 self-driving vehicle system, NVIDIA did not forget to announce the development of DLSS technology for video games. For the first time, NVIDIA DLSS 5 was shown that it can transform video game graphics into more realistic ones using artificial intelligence (AI).
In the demo video shown, the faces of the main characters of the Resident Evil 9 and Hogwarts Legacy games are transformed into real human faces using DLSS 5. According to NVIDIA, developers can specify which parts of the video game can be upgraded by DLSS 5. The resulting graphics quality is higher than the RTX Remix feature announced two years ago.
Among the studios that will support DLSS 5 are Bethesda, CAPCOM, Hotta Studio, NetEase, NCSOFT, S-GAME, Tencent, Ubisoft and Warner Bros. Games. Games that will support it are AION 2, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Black State, CINDER CITY, Delta Force, Hogwarts Legacy, Justice, NARAKA: BLADEPOINT, NTE: Neverness to Everness, Phantom Blade Zero, Resident Evil™ Requiem, Sea of Remnants, Starfield, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, and Where Winds Meet.
DLSS 5 will arrive this fall on RTX 50XX series graphics cards only
