The latest tweet from OnePlus shows their plans to introduce a new device soon. With the caption “Entering the Nord era soon” along with the hashtag #OnePlusNord it is clear that the device is part of the Nord series.
For now, no official name has been announced, but it is likely that it will be the OnePlus Nord 6 since the last model launched last year was the OnePlus Nord 5 CE. The main focus of this new device is still not detailed but it could potentially come with a large battery and a fast charging system.
This can be interpreted from the image shared by OnePlus which shows a blue battery with a charging head and cable. The indication seems to hint that the battery and fast charging aspects will be among the main features highlighted on this new device.
For reference, a device claimed to be the Nord 6 with the model number CPH2795 has appeared on the Geekbench site. The listing reveals that it is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chip, which is the same processor used in the OnePlus Turbo 6 that was launched earlier in China.
Since the Nord series is usually a rebranding of models introduced in the Chinese market, it is likely that the Nord 6 is based on the OnePlus Turbo 6. This reinforces the expectation that the Nord 6 will offer performance comparable to the Turbo model but come with specific branding for the global market.
