RHB Bank App to End Support for Android 10 and iOS 15 Devices Below Starting June 1

RHB has announced that the RHB Mobile Banking App will no longer support devices running Android 10 and below or iOS 15 and below starting June 1, 2026. Therefore, users with older operating systems will not be able to access the app.

This statement was issued by RHB as a security measure to protect the online banking experience. However, users can still log in to RHB Online Banking via a browser. However, financial transactions cannot be made as Secure Plus authentication is only available in the mobile app.

To avoid service disruption, users are encouraged to update their devices to the latest operating system. If the device is already using the latest OS version, then no further action is required. This is important because older operating systems no longer receive security updates from Apple or Google, making the device more vulnerable to cyber attacks.

With this, Android users will need to use at least Android 11 and are advised to switch to Android 13 or newer. For iOS users, you need to be on at least iOS 16 and are encouraged to use iOS 17 or later.

This decision is not new to RHB Bank alone. In fact, CIMB previously announced the same thing for their Octo app with a minimum limit of Android 9 and iOS 14. At the same time, Maybank also made a similar announcement for the MAE app, specifically ending support for iOS 13 and below
