Samsung Galaxy S26 Series in Malaysia to Receive AirDrop Support Today

Samsung Malaysia has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+ and Galaxy S26 Ultra in Malaysia will start receiving an update to support Apple AirDrop today. After that, other Samsung devices in Malaysia will receive the same update in stages. The update was received quickly as it was just announced by Samsung two days ago.

Sending files to iPhone, iPad and macOS devices can be done by selecting Quick Share. The Quick Share menu will be able to see nearby Apple devices and the file will then be sent using the AirDrop protocol. At the time of writing, S26 devices in Malaysia have not yet received this promised update.

This feature was provided by Google only on the Pixel 10 series last year with them confirming that it will be received by all Android devices by the end of 2026.
