Sony reportedly scrapped plans to bring Saros and Ghost of Yotei to PC, according to a Bloomberg report. It is seen as a larger strategy shift to bring back certain games that are exclusive to the PlayStation console.
The move came after PC game sales fell short of expectations and accounted for around 1.5% of overall revenue. The first PlayStation exclusive game to be offered on PC was Horizon Zero Dawn in 2020. This was followed by God of War, The Last of Us and more. Only games with direct services such as Hell Divers, Marathon and Marvel Tokon will be offered on PC after this.
This strategy may have been taken after the new CEO of Xbox said that Microsoft would return to an exclusive game strategy. With a higher number of players, Sony has an advantage over Xbox at this point. If you are a die-hard PlayStation fan, this decision will not have any impact, but if you are otherwise, you will have to buy a PS to enjoy certain games.
