Headphones with solid ANC systems and long-lasting batteries used to be exclusive to big brands like Sony and Bose. But with this technology becoming more common, consumers no longer have to spend more for the same features. At MWC Barcelona, the Soundcore Space 2 headphones were launched with ANC systems and a battery that can last up to 70 hours.
Like the Sony XM1000 and Bose QuietComfort series, the Space 2 targets users who need headphones that are comfortable to wear on long journeys. Memory foam on the ear cups is paired with 40mm silk, metal and ceramic diaphragm drivers.
The Adaptive ANC system has four levels of noise cancellation, which can block out airplane noise, vehicle vibrations and noisy office spaces. With ANC enabled, the battery lasts for 50 hours and increases to 70 hours without ANC. There are modes that activate soothing sounds such as rivers, rain and snow. It can also play lossless audio and supports the LDAC codec.
Despite having various flagship features, the Soundcore Space 2 is sold for only $130 (~RM 511) per pair.
