Edits Will Support Bilingual Captions

Instagram Edits has reached a milestone after a year since its launch in April last year as a mobile video editing app. During that time, more than 130 new features have been added through weekly updates.

Among the initial features of Edits are a built-in teleprompter, captions, color adjustments, and audio controls. Recently, the development team is planning improvements such as bilingual caption support, more color adjustments with more options, a function to change the speed of the video more freely, and the option to customize the tools according to the user's convenience.

In addition, Edits introduces a personal creative space through the Ideas tab that collects saved reels, audio, and inspirational notes. It also provides an inspiration feed tailored to the user's activity, a summary of comments, weekly creative suggestions from AI, and the function to pin favorite tools for easier access.

Users can also open the full project file through the template to see how it was created, including the use of trending audio, and before customizing it to their own style. In the future, templates will support more complex functions such as overlays, keyframes, and video effects. Additionally, more examples and techniques from creators will be provided with an easier way to share creative materials among users within the app.

Meta also emphasized that Edits will continue to grow with more functionality and become a space for learning and sharing creativity with the community. Feedback from creators will be the main guide in determining the direction of further development.
