Honor Malaysia recently announced three new smartwatches, namely the Honor Choice Watch 2 Epic, Honor Choice InfoWear Watch 2 Pro and Honor Watch X5i. All three come with their own advantages in their respective classes.
Honor Choice Watch 2 Epic
The Honor Choice Watch 2 Epic uses a 1.32″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 466×466 pixels. It also supports air pressure, altitude and location tracking via a built-in altimeter, thus providing more accurate data for hiking, climbing and outdoor adventure activities. The GNSS system provided allows routes to be recorded and easily retraced.
Honor Choice Watch 2 Epic
This watch also supports over 120 sports modes and 6 automatically recognized activities including running, swimming, gym workouts and outdoor sports. Voice commands also provide real-time exercise feedback to increase motivation. In addition, calls can be made and received directly through the watch using a Bluetooth connection. Its battery life can last up to 15 days for normal use.
Honor Choice InfoWear Watch 2 Pro
Honor Choice InfoWear Watch 2 Pro is equipped with a 1.97″ AMOLED display with a resolution of 390×450 pixels. It weighs only around 29g (excluding strap) with support for 5ATM + IP68 waterproof rating. It uses a magnetic charging method and comes with a 360mAh battery. Its battery life can last up to 14 days for standard use, 12 days for heavy use and 5 days in AOD mode.
Honor Watch X5i
Honor Watch X5i also comes with a design that resembles the Apple Watch. It comes with an AMOLED display with a resolution of 450×390 pixels at a refresh rate of 60Hz, and supports an always-on display. Honor also offers more than 180 watch faces in addition to heart rate, SpO2 and real-time stress levels. Sleep and menstrual cycle tracking functions are also included along with 109 sports modes.
The built-in speaker and microphone also allow calls to be made via a connected smartphone. The Watch X5i has a water resistance of 1ATM which is not suitable for swimming, but the IP68 certification ensures protection when in the rain or shower. This smartwatch is compatible with Android and iPhone devices, and can last up to six days with a battery life.
For those interested, the Honor Choice Watch 2 Epic is priced at RM499, while the Honor Choice InfoWear Watch 2 Pro is offered at RM399 and the Honor Watch X5i is priced at RM329.
