Illegear introduces new laptops under the Core series. It comes in three variants with two different size options that are also specifically designed to set new performance standards for both gaming and creative content.
Starting with the CORE 15 model, a 15″ gaming laptop that comes with a new generation RTX-50 graphics card. It features a 15.3” Infinivision 16:10 display with a 180Hz refresh rate, WQXGA (2560×1600) resolution, an IPS panel with 100% sRGB full coverage and up to 500 nits brightness.
It is paired with a 14th generation Intel Core CPU with 8GB DDR5 memory that can be upgraded up to 64GB via two slots and a 500GB NVMe SSD storage with two M.2 slots that support up to 4TB. It also packs an 80Whr battery with USB Type-C port support up to 140W PD in addition to HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1a ports.
Next up is the Core 15 XTREME model that shares most of the hardware with the CORE 15. It comes with a 14th generation Intel Core i7-14650HX, GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU, 8GB DDR5 memory that can be upgraded up to 64GB via two slots, 500GB NVMe SSD storage with two M.2 slots up to 4TB and a battery with a capacity of 80Wh.
The main difference lies in the support of a more premium display, namely a 15.3″ Infinivision 16:10 screen with a refresh rate of 300Hz, a resolution of 2.5K WQXGA (2560×1600), an IPS panel with full sRGB 100% coverage and brightness of up to 500 nits.
Finally, the CORE 18 EXTREME model uses a larger 18” Infinivision 16:10 screen. The display supports a refresh rate of 180Hz, a resolution of 2.5K WQXGA (2560×1600), full DCI-P3 100% coverage, and brightness of up to 500 nits, complete with Pantone Royalty Screen Color Calibration technology.
It is powered by an Intel Core i7-14650HX CPU with a GeForce RTX 50 Series GPU. It also comes with 8GB DDR5 memory that can be upgraded up to 32GB via two slots and 500GB NVMe SSD storage with two M.2 slots that support up to 4TB. In addition, it is supplied with a 99Wh battery that also supports a USB Type-C charging port up to 140W PD. I/O options also include HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 2.1a ports.
For those interested, Illegear is now opening pre-orders for all of its latest gaming laptop series with introductory prices starting at RM5,599 for the Core 15, RM7,999 for the Core 15 XTREME and RM7,699 for the Core 18 XTREME with expected arrival around June.
