Insta360 has unveiled the Mic Pro, a wireless microphone specifically for content creators. While it’s small and round like other wireless microphones, the Mic Pro’s special feature is its design that’s meant to be seen in video footage.
It comes with a customizable e-ink display that allows creators to display their logo, name, or personal branding directly in the video. In addition, the Mic Pro also comes with a “Direct Connect” feature that allows audio recording directly to supported Insta360 cameras, including the upcoming Luna series, without the need for a separate receiver. It also has up to three built-in microphones with AI-based processing and noise reduction using the NPU to ensure audio remains clear in a variety of environments.
In addition, the Mic Pro supports built-in recording functions as a backup in case of interruptions during recording. At the same time, the Mic Pro comes with a special case that doubles as a charging unit complete with four LED lights to indicate battery status. At this time, the price and official launch date have not been announced.
