Speaking faster than typing and realizing this fact Nothing has launched an audio-to-text transcription app, Essential Voice. The app, according to Nothing, can produce more accurate transcriptions. When used, the transcription text will remove whitespace and the use of connecting words such as “um”, “ah”, and if the user stutters.
According to Nothing, Essential Voice automatically detects over 100 languages, including a selection of English and Spanish dialect variations. It can be accessed via the keyboard and also the Essential Key on the device. The audio will be processed in the cloud but encrypted by Nothing’s servers before the text is sent back and is not stored.
At this time, Essential Voice is only available on Nothing Phone (3) devices with support for Nothing Phone (4a) Pro: later this month while Nothing Phone (4a) starting in early May.
