Rolls Royce is a paragon of luxury, empire and a brand with a well-known pedigree of quality. As a legacy automotive company, it was a late entrant into the electric vehicle (EV) arena. Yesterday, the Rolls Royce Project Nightingale was announced, it is their second EV after the Spectre which was announced in 2022.
Project Nightingale is their first ultra-luxury roofless EV and it is coachbuilt according to customer specifications. It is also very long (5.76 m) but only seats two. The design takes the art deco style of Rolls Royce around 1920s with the rear part resembling the stern of a luxury yacht.
Four 24″ tires are used, which are also the largest tires ever used by Rolls Royce. The cabin uses premium soft leather decorated with 10,500 small lights.
Only 100 units of the Rolls Royce Project Nightingale will be built and they cannot be purchased. Instead, customers will be invited to buy it for around $3.5 million (~RM 13.8 million) to maintain its exclusive status. Although the new project was announced yesterday, invitations have been secretly sent out since 2024 to select clients only.
