WhatsApp is developing Notification Bubbles feature on Android devices. It allows conversations to appear as floating icons on the home screen, making it easier for users to read and reply to messages without having to open the full app or leave other apps they are using.
In other words, this feature works like a floating window that becomes a second display on the home screen, thus making the chatting experience faster and smoother. Another advantage is that it allows users to reply to messages without having to leave other apps, for example when watching videos or using Instagram. This makes the messaging experience faster and supports multitasking.
How does it work? When a message is received, a bubble icon with a profile picture and the WhatsApp logo will appear. At the same time, if you notice there is a small arrow pointing down on the bubble. Then, when the icon is pressed, it will open a simplified version of the conversation window that allows users to read and reply to messages immediately.
However, not all devices will enable this feature by default. Therefore, users need to check the system settings to make sure it is available. This also means that the feature can be turned off if users find it annoying. This feature is still in development and will be rolled out first to beta testers before expanding to all users.
