Google today announced a new feature that will be built into Android 17, namely Pause Point. Through it, it will be activated when you open an app that you label as a waste of time, where it will give you 10 seconds to calm down and ask yourself why you opened the app.
With this step, it aims to reduce the time you spend opening apps that are often used to spend a long time without realizing it, including TikTok, YouTube, Threads, and so on.
Users can label the apps they want under this Pause Point feature. This step is also expected to help reduce addiction to an app.
This feature is expected to be offered to everyone through the upcoming Android 17 operating system update.
