Dell 16S With Latest Intel Chip Also Launched in Local Market at Starting Price of RM7619

Last year, Dell announced a rebranding for their productivity class laptops which featured model names that were almost similar to Apple's iPhone series of devices. However, the decision has been reversed, and now Dell seems to be returning to using their own branding.

One of the laptop models introduced last year was the Dell 16 Plus which was a larger display model in the Dell laptop series. The name has now been replaced with the Dell 16S which now denotes the model with the larger display size.

As the name suggests, the Dell 16S comes with a 16-inch IPS screen display with FHD+ (1920×1200) resolution with either touch or non-touch options. The touch model comes with a 60Hz refresh rate, while the non-touch display has a refresh rate as high as 120Hz.

The Dell 16S is powered by a choice of the latest Intel Panther Lake processors, including the Intel Core Ultra 7 355 and Intel Core Ultra 5 322 with 16GB of LPDDR5X memory and 512GB/1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD storage.

The laptop also comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one HDMI 2.1 port and support for WiFi7 and Bluetooth wireless connectivity. It is also loaded with a 70WHr battery that can last all day on a single full charge.

Dell Malaysia has started offering this laptop at a starting price of RM7619 for the Intel Core Ultra 5 322 chip configuration with 16GB of memory and 512GB SSD and touchscreen display. The most expensive configuration of the Intel Core Ultra 7 355 chip with 16GB of memory and 1TB SSD storage is priced at RM9139.
