More than two decades ago I was quite proud of the Sony Trinitron monitor with a 90Hz refresh rate while other monitors were only 60Hz. If I could go back in time with a Time Machine, I would make my younger self explode with the news that LG announced they launched the world’s first 1000Hz monitor.
The LG UltraGear 25G590B is the first 1080p LCD monitor to achieve this extreme refresh rate natively. Previously, panels with the same capabilities were only shown as prototypes. The panel is 24.5″ with the target being used in esports events, especially in games that require fast movement such as FPS.
The monitor comes with the Motion Blur Reduction Pro feature making moving objects clearer and easier to track. The LCD panel used has a low-reflection film layer to reduce glare. Like all modern hardware, there are artificial intelligence features that will optimize image display and audio included. The price of the LG UltraGear 25G590B has not yet been announced.
