TDK Corp, a Japanese firm currently seeking to further strengthen its position in the provision of energy and battery solutions, has announced plans to acquire Linergy Power Sdn Bhd, for a value of up to $241.1 million.
Linergy Power is a company focused on rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Upon completion of this acquisition, Linergy Power is expected to become a wholly owned subsidiary of TDK.
TDK is ready to offer a number of solutions focused on technology development, as well as energy solutions, including the provision of energy storage batteries of various capacities, as well as other related products. With this acquisition, it is seen to further strengthen TDK's offering, while allowing them to expand their offerings.
