WhatsApp is ready to offer a feature called WhatsApp Status, which allows users to share photos or videos that disappear after 24 hours – a variation of Stories feature like those found on Instagram, Facebook and other services. After being included in the “Updates” section for a long time, WhatsApp is now testing the Status display directly on the main page of the messaging application.
Through the test, it is seen displayed in the form of a small icon at the top, and users can pull down or tap on it to make it large.
The display on the home page also ensures that friends are not left out in watching WhatsApp Status, thus ensuring a wider reach rate. In fact, WhatsApp has previously discussed offering ad displays on the WhatsApp Status section, and for this purpose, wide reach is needed.
Currently, WhatsApp has tested this display on WhatsApp Beta. It is not yet known whether it will be introduced widely or otherwise. For you, what do you think about the WhatsApp Status offering on the WhatsApp home page?
