Microsoft has begun rolling out Xbox Mode to Windows 11 users in several more markets, with support for desktop PCs, laptops, and mobile consoles. The rollout is taking place in stages over the next few weeks.
Xbox Mode, previously known as the Xbox Full Screen Experience, is now more like an Xbox console on PCs, designed to be used with a game controller. This means the Xbox experience interface is consistent across PCs, consoles, and mobile consoles.
Xbox Mode was previously only available on mobile consoles like the ROG Xbox Ally and Legion Go. With it being expanded to more PCs, Microsoft is looking to make Windows the gaming platform of choice again as it begins to take the pressure off SteamOS. To use Xbox Mode, please update your Windows 11 to the latest version.
