May could be a busy month for the Xiaomi brand. They are currently gearing up to expand their audio accessories line with the upcoming Xiaomi 17 Max. Among the products confirmed to be on the market is their first earbud-shaped earphones, dubbed the Xiaomi Open-Ear Earclip.
As the name suggests, the new model comes in the form of an ear clip with an ear-hook design (not in-ear or fully covering the ears). The main focus is on comfort and environmental awareness, making it suitable for runners and office workers. This is also different from the OpenWear Stereo Pro model launched in 2025 which emphasized more on the ear-hook design.
The launch also marks Xiaomi's new step in joining the growing open-ear headphone segment with competitors such as Shokz, Samsung and Huawei. At the same time, it is part of Xiaomi's strategy to strengthen the audio ecosystem by providing suitable options for every listening context.
