Apple Smart Glasses Delayed to Late 2027

Since the launch of Ray-Ban Meta, many die-hard Apple fans have been asking when “Apple Glass” will be marketed. Previously, there was a prediction of 2025 and now in 2026 the nose bridge is not yet visible. But in the latest report by Mark Gurman in Bloomberg, he said that the launch of Apple’s first smart glasses has been delayed to late 2027.

These glasses are being developed with the code name Model N50 which was previously targeted to be announced in 2026 but has now been delayed to late 2027 due to delays in the development process. It is seen as the last project given priority by Tim Cook before handing over the CEO position to John Ternus on September 1, 2027. Ternus is currently reported to be developing a pair of AirPods Pro with a built-in camera and it is already in the testing process.

The N50 is believed to be a regular smart glasses with a camera without a built-in screen. It is comparable to the Ray-Ban Meta and Samsung’s Google glasses that were recently shown at Google I/O. When launched, they will likely be sold in the price range of $200–500 (~RM 793-1982) per pair.
