Ministry of Finance Says 150L Quota Display for BUDI95 Was an Error

Early this morning, it went viral on several social media platforms that the quota for BUDI95 this month has been quietly reduced to 150L compared to 200L previously. Users shared screenshots of the 150L quota displayed in the Setel and TNG eWallet applications.

The Ministry of Finance (MOF) has issued an official statement saying that there is no change to the BUDI95 quota for June. It remains 200L for eligible Malaysians. The 150L quota display that appeared on the night of May 31, 2026 was just a technical error due to a maintenance process.

The price of BUDI95 still remains at RM1.99 per liter for those who qualify. The last time the quota was adjusted was on April 1 when it was reduced from 300L to 200L following the energy crisis caused by the war in the Middle East.
