Bluesky, a social app focused on decentralized sharing features, has now added support for group chats of up to 50 people to their app. With this step, users can create a group, and then chat with each other easily.
This feature has been offered through a new app update. Bluesky stated that this is their initial step in adding community features to their platform.
Previously, Bluesky has also expressed its intention to focus on community support, and wants to be more than just a social platform.
Using this group chat feature, anyone can create their own chat room, and also share a link to join the chat group through the Bluesky platform or outside. For now, group chat still does not support media sharing, but it is expected to be included in the future.
