Google Meet Now Easier to Access Through Safari on iPhone

Previously, iPhone users who did not have the Gmail or Google Meet apps installed were unable to join Google Meet calls. However, Google has now introduced a new update that allows iOS users to join Meet calls directly through the Safari browser.

With this facility, users simply need to click on the meeting link and can join without having to download additional applications. For guests or users who do not have a Google account, they can still join the meeting by simply typing their name to request access to the call. In addition, administrators do not need any additional controls as this function operates automatically.

This means that Google Meet is now more user-friendly, easily accessible, and no longer burdens iPhone users with the need to install additional applications. It also makes it easier for relevant users to join meetings quickly and without technical obstacles.

This feature is being rolled out in stages which may take more than 15 days for some domains and is available to all Google Workspace users as well as personal Google accounts.
