Google is ready to design its own chips that are used in smartphones and also in data centers, including for processing involving artificial intelligence. Most recently, it was reported that Google has placed an order with Intel, to produce more than 3 million TPUs by 2028.
For now, both parties have not issued an official statement regarding this matter. However, if accurate, then Intel is seen to have begun positioning itself for chip production for third parties, and not relying solely on their own chip production.
In addition to Google, it is expected that NVIDIA will also use Intel's production facilities. In addition to these two brands, Elon Musk has previously stated that they will also use Intel's facilities in the production of their own chips.
