Huawei Nova 15 Max Now in Malaysia at RM1499

The Huawei Nova 15 Max was launched in Malaysia today, about a month after it was launched in Bangkok. The device is marketed with an emphasis on a large capacity battery, a camera with an RYYB sensor for low-light performance.

It comes with a 6.84″ OLED screen with FHD+ resolution, 120Hz and peak brightness of up to 4000 nits. It is paired with an undisclosed Kirin chip, 8GB RAM, 256GB storage and an 8500mAh battery that supports 40W charging.

The main camera consists of a 50MP Ultra Vision RYYB wide-angle lens with AIS and a 2MP depth lens. For selfies, it offers an 8MP front camera. The Nova 15 Max comes with a classic Star Ring design with thin bezels on all four sides to give it a modern and premium look. The round camera module adds its own identity with a serrated line pattern and a shiny rear panel that highlights its unique style.

The operating system used is EMUI 14.2. In Malaysia, this device only supports LTE bands, WiFi 7, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC and stereo speakers. The device, however, does not meet any waterproof and dustproof standards.

The Huawei Nova 15 Max is sold at RM1699 for the 8/256GB model. But in conjunction with the launch, it received a RM200 rebate and can be purchased at a promotional price of RM1499. Free gifts worth up to RM827 are also given in the form of Huawei Band 10, 1-year warranty and free battery replacement for 2 years.
