Hyundai IONIQ 6 N Launched in Malaysia at RM 449K

Almost a year after Hyundai Malaysia entered the Malaysian market directly, today they finally announced their electric car for the local market. Interestingly, they introduced high-performance electric cars placed in their N series, namely the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N and the Hyundai Ioniq 6 N.

The Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is an electric hatchback car that was first introduced in 2024 and was then sold by Hyundai Sime Motors. The Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is an electric sedan car with a more aerodynamic shape, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100km/h in 3.2 seconds compared to the Ioniq 5 N which accelerated from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. What really sets the Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N apart from their shape and class is the Ioniq 6 N's retractable roof.

Both of these high-performance electric cars share the same battery specifications, which are 84 kWh in capacity, giving a range of 448 WLTP miles and support DC charging as high as 350 kW, allowing for a 10-80% charge in as fast as 18 minutes. It also has 11kW AC charging and gives a 0-100% charge time of around 8 hours 45 minutes.

Both also have power up to 650 PS when the N Grin Boost button is activated, with the ability to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.2-3.4 seconds and also a top speed of around 260 km/h and 257 km/h

For both models, it has a full N-label exterior and interior design to differentiate it from the regular Ioniq 5 and Ioniq 6. A more stylish rim design, red stripes as a sign decorate all corners of this car. In terms of function, there is a gear lever on the steering wheel that works like a gear. This is different from the regular Ioniq which has such a lever but is used to change the level of regenerative braking. All N functions are seen to be similar.

Hyundai Ioniq 5 N is currently sold at RM 443,888 while Hyundai Ioniq 6 N is sold at RM 449,888. It comes with an N Care+ warranty for 8 years or 160,000 KM mileage, also including battery warranty. Buyers will also receive N Lifestyle+ goods worth RM 2,000. The presence of these two EV models from Hyundai allows them to start offering electric cars for the local market.
