This morning, Meta Business Agent was launched globally with Meta saying it can help automate the process of business management carried out via WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger. This feature has been tested for two years in India and is now ready to be offered to global users.
With Meta Business Agent, users can ask questions on various topics they may want to write. Answers will be provided without the user having to leave the application. It also has the ability to complete purchases from customers who are having conversations about products.
Meta Business Agent, is designed to interact with various existing e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Zendesk and Shopee to facilitate the buying and selling process. Meta says the Meta Business Agent can increase sales by 10 to 100 times.
Initially, the AI agent will be free for businesses to try before businesses will have to pay a monthly subscription based on the tokens used. The price perly has not been announced but has a structure for businesses of various sizes.
