In many generative artificial intelligence (AI) models, Midjourney may be a bit forgotten compared to Gemini and ChatGPT. It moves on its own in the background with new model announcements not very frequent. But early this morning, the Midjourney account confirmed that the company will announce its first physical device project.
This project is still a mystery because no information about it has been leaked before. There is speculation that it is a computer or tablet that can run Midjourney directly. This is a paradigm shift from Midjourney which is currently accessed using a web browser and Discord.
Midjourney CEO, David Holz previously confirmed that the company is developing a physical device. Before founding Midjourney, he founded the company Leap Motion which produces devices to interact in the world of AR and VR. Therefore, there is also speculation that the first physical hardware may be a headset that allows images and videos generated by Midjourney to be viewed in the virtual world.
What Midjournye will launch will only be answered tomorrow.
