Last week, the Intel Arc G3 chip was launched specifically for Windows mobile consoles. At Computex, the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ was launched with this latest chip. The console features an 8″ FHD+ 120Hz LCD screen with VRR and touch detection. The Claw 8 EX AI+ is only offered with the Intel Arc G3 Extreme unlike the Acer Predator Atlas 8.
This is paired with 32GB LPDDR5x memory, NVMe M.2 2280 SSD storage and an 80Whr battery. I/O options are 2 x Thunderbolt 4, 1 x microSD Card Reader and 1 x audio jack. The 2x 2W speaker system also supports DTS Audio and high-resolution audio.
There are two analog sticks, a D-Pad button, four face buttons, four shoulder buttons, a power button with a built-in fingerprint scanner and a haptic system with a four-axis motor for realistic vibrations. Like the Predator Atlas 8, the MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ also supports XeSS 3, Multi-Frame Generation (MFG), and Xbox Mod. MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ is offered in Void Purple color but the selling price has not been announced.
