Valve this morning announced the selling price of the Steam Machine console and opened pre-orders for those interested. The official selling price list is as follows. Pre-orders have been opened until June 25 before the queue number for purchase will be given randomly to avoid scalping problems by irresponsible parties.

The selling price of the Steam Machine is very expensive compared to the original forecast because the RAM and memory crisis made it unavoidable. There are reports that Valve is selling the console at cost price with the original selling price initially starting around $750 (~RM 3110). At its current price, the Steam Machine is more expensive than the PS5 Pro (RM 3999) in Malaysia
The Steam Machine is equipped with an AMD Zen 4 6C / 12T chip with speeds up to 4.8 GHz, an AMD RDNA3 GPU with 28CUs and 8GB GDDR6 VRAM, 16GB DDR5 memory and up to 2TB NVMe SSD storage. Storage can be expanded using a microSD card.
According to Valve, this new generation Steam Machine is six times more powerful than the Steam Deck, allowing it to run AAA games at up to 8K 30p settings.
